Yay! I’m finally back from the land of sucky internet. This is why I haven’t blogged in forever. I was at my parents house for Christmas break. The best internet connection I got there was 28.8 kb. Yes, you read that right. Even better, most of the time the connection was 21.6. That means I had just enough frustration tolerance to check my email before wanting to chuck the computer out the window. Pleh.
On the plus side, it’s snowing – a lot. We’re supposed to get around 15 inches today. This is exciting, especially since I don’t have to go anywhere today. I’m happy.
This semester is shaping up to be pretty fun. I’m doing my Harry Potter thesis this semester. I also decided to take a “Teaching Harry Potter” class. It’s an undergrad class, but I’m allowed to take one of those and count it as graduate credits. It’s an interesting mix of the literary aspects of Harry Potter and teaching Harry Potter to little kids. The professor is convinced I’ll be bored, and she’s probably right, but I don’t care because now, instead of doing a thesis and taking another class, it’ll be just writing a thesis. I’ll turn in my thesis work for the class. I love it when things work out that way!
Here’s an interesting fact. My dog hates sour cream and onion chips. I thought dogs ate anything. Guess not.
